摘要:

SUMMARYBELL, H.L. 1982. Social organization and feeding of the Rufous BabblerPomatostomus isidori.Emu 82: 7–11.Pomatostomus isidoriappears to behave similarly to Australian babblers, i.e. it forms permanent flocks that hold territories and roosts communally; the flock uses one nest at a time and all members of the flock appear to build the nest and feed young. The flock feeds as a unit and mainly frequents the lower understorey of rainforest.Pomatostomus isidoriassociates more often than not with other species, including three that mimic its coloration and calls. The species seem very sensitive to human activity.
