摘要:

Polychromatic OTF theory is extended to the case of extra-axial images. The conditions of validity of polychromatic OTF are investigated. Computations of the OTF from lens design data are compared with measurements made on actual systems, and polychromatic OTF is suggested as a realistic criterion of image quality.
