Let K be a field of characteristic 0 and let L be an extension of K. Let us denote by T{L*) the maximal torsion subgroup of the multiplicative group of L. We call the field K primarily neat if for every prime number p there exists an extension L of K such thatThe main result of the present paper is the following theorm.
