摘要:
Crop production, equivalent or exceeding any that has been attained or predicted, is possible from the sandy soils of peninsular Florida. However, extreme variability occurs from season to season, from field to field, and even within fields. Well managed field corn in Florida has averaged 50–70 bu/A, while maximum yields with irrigation have rarely exceeded 125 bu/A. Production of fresh market tomatoes, which in Florida have an annual value of 100 million dollars, varies from failure to 25 tons/A using the common cultural procedures.
