SummaryThe structures of pigeon A and B ovotransferrins were compared by peptide mapping. A single identifiable difference was found between them. AB transferrin showed both peptides. Amino acid compositions of these peptides indicated an amino acid substitution Asx (in A) for Ser (in B).
