AbstractVegetation mapping was carried out on the basis of plant communities identified in the area and presented in the phytosociological tableau published earlier (Migahid et al. 1973). The vegetation map shows the distribution of the associations and their mixtures identified on re‐examination of the vegetation of the area after phytosociological analysis was carried out. The study revealed that in addition to the six associations identified earlier, there exists binary and tertiary mixtures of these associations accupying relatively large areas. The areas occupied by the associations as well as their mixtures and their geographical distribution seem to be dependent on the physiography of the region.
