AbstractA new chemical degradation of (–)‐kopsine is described which completely confirms the structure of this alkaloid. Correlation of (–)‐aspidofractinine, (–)‐pleiocarpine and (–)‐kopsine with (–)‐minovincine establishes the absolute stereochemistry of these bases.
