A routine production procedure on the basis of the investigations described in the present paper has been set in our production laboratory. Chemical, pharmaceutical, and clinical tests have shown satisfactory results and absence of free iodine and no radiolysis effect. The product obtained is used satisfactorily in our local hospitals with complete appraisal from the medical staff. The maximum yield obtained lies between 60 and 65 per cent with an accuracy of ±5%.
