The A. makes known some results of an electron microscopy research about tlic structure of cortex and involucra in ripe, or near to ripeness, ovaric oocytes ofDiscoglossus pictusOtth. In particular, he discusses the problem of the identity of the zona ruliata, as it appears in ordinary microscopy, with themicrorilli-layer, that one points out in. electronic research, and he put forth substantial reasons of perplexity on this identity, shown by some AA. The A. inclines rather for the identity betweenzona radialaand layer ofcrests, lying below that ofmicrovilli, which, as a rule, emerge from the peak of crests.
