HighlightsHighlights in the area of Group 13 chemistry have to include the substantial contribution to the area of boryl and borylene chemistry made by Braunschweig and co-workers, especially the formation of a naked tri metallated boron complex. Other areas of note include exceptional efforts in the area ofsupra-metallaet al. in the synthesis of thecloso-distannadodecaborane system [Sn2B10H10]2−. These aside, the work of Joneset al. in the field of Ga(i) heterocycles which act as ligands to other metals is remarkable for its scope and diversity. Finally, a remarkable indium-containing compound containing fully five unsupported In–In bonds was reported last year by Hill and co-workers.
