摘要:

The design and construction of a simple hydrostatic-pressure system suitable for the undergraduate laboratory are described. Operation of the apparatus is illustrated by measurements of the effect of pressure on the dielectric constant of several liquids. The system can be used for a wide range of advanced undergraduate experiments, an assortment of which is suggested in an appendix.
