A patient of mine had problems of nausea, bloating, and diarrhea after taking fluoxetine for two months at 20 mg/day. A similar problem occurred when sertraline at 50 mg/day was tried. I have read that similar problems occur with paroxetine and fluvoxamine. What is the basis for this?
