AbstractThe national body of the National Council on Systems Engineering (NCOSE) has chartered the Systems Engineering Process Working Group (SEP WG) to refine and describe systems engineering processes). The challenges and questions have been identified, goals and results needed have been defined, and a development approach selected. Active since April 1992, the SEP WG has made progress in resolving some key issues and preparing a description which is useful to the practicing systems engineer. This paper describes the background, action plan, approach and current status of the SEP WG.
