摘要:

As the burn patient population can easily be stratified by the degree of injury, the study of burns can relay important information regarding the pathophysiology of multiple trauma. The changes in metabolic, respiratory and cardiovascular function following thermal injury, if understood, can result in dramatic changes in morbidity and mortality in intensive care units.
