AbstractSeven members of the Neckeraceae are recorded from Mulanje Mountain, Malawi, of which four,Homaliodendron piniforme(Brid.) Enroth,Neckera remotaBruch&Schimp.exC. Müll.,Pinnatella minuta(Mitt.) Broth. andPorothamnium variifolioidesDe Sloover, are first records for Malawi.Porotrichum dentatumGepp is reinstated as a species distinct fromP. madagassumKiaerexBesch. andP. molliculumBroth. is synonymised withP. usagarumMitt. A key is provided to Malawian taxa of the family.
