摘要:
A simple, accurate and specific proton magnetic resonance (PMR) procedure was developed for the assay of azintamide and its tablets. The method involves comparing the integral of both the multiplet centered at 1.15 ppm and the sharp nice singlet signal at 4.3 ppm of azintamide molecule to that of the sharp singlet signal (positioned at 6.3 ppm) of maleic acid which is used as internal standard. The method reported in this study gives accurate and reproducible results; 99.96 × 0.54% (using integral values of methyl protons) and 100.10 × 0.43% (using integral value of methylene protons) for authentic azintamide, while it gives 100.15 × 0.39Z for azintamide tablets (Suragallin). In addition, the PMR spectrum obtained helps in confirming the identity and purity of the drug.
