A program was developed to calculate fluid, nutritional, and electrolyte intake using a Hewlett-Packard 41C (HP-41C) programmable calculator. This program simplifies calculations of infused and enteral intake of carbohydrate, lipid, amino acids, nitrogen, sodium, potassium and fluid volume in patients receiving enteral intake and up to three different venous (or arterial) infusions.
