Summary1) Bleeding determination in grave hemorrhagic states is superfluous and may even be dangerous for the patient.2) If the bleeding time is measured accurately by a trained physician By puncture of both ears and if the results are statistically analyzed, it may give useful information for minor or latent hemorrhagic conditions.3) When measured in these conditions, this test may be helpful to evaluate the effectiveness of a hemostatic therapy.It would be useful to use it together with a test allowing to determine in patients an increased tendency to bleed.
