According to a hypothesis brought forward by the author, in the metamere corresponding to the injured vertebra, the blood vessels of the anterior cells of the marrow be angiomatous ; this condition rending them more fragile, would account for their breaking consequently to an even slight effort.Moreover, the referred patient presents following peculiarities : a limited cutaneous angioma within the same metaniere and some congenital injuries suggesting a constitutional origin of these anomalies.
