This paper reviews recent experimental evidence related to searches for exotic mesons and charmed particles. In addition, evidence for exotic particle exchange is reviewed, and search experiments in progress are discussed. Upper limits of 2&mgr;b to 10&mgr;b have been placed upon exotic meson production in forward processes while limits of 1&mgr;b to 2&mgr;b exist for exotic mesons produced in baryon exchange processes.
