摘要:
SUMMARYNine currently recommended materials were assessed for use againstTetranychus urticaeon glasshouse roses. Of these, only tetradition gave acceptable control of a strain of mite infesting a commercial crop.Seven other materials, not at present widely available, were examined as alternative treatments. GS 19,851 and a mixture containing chlor‐phenamidine and formetanate gave good control without phytotoxicity. Dinocton‐o and fenazaflor were also effective but proved phytotoxic on the yoimg shoots. Good ovicidal action was demonstrated for all four treatments. The acaricidal effects of quinomethionate, binapacryl and dinobuton were compared at dosages reduced to eliminate possible phytotoxicity. Quinomethionate was the most effective but also the most phytotoxic at the rate used. Further reductions of phytotoxicity were also achieved by discriminating use of wett
