In April, 1991 the NSF/SSMA conference entitled “A Network for Integrated Science and Mathematics Teaching and Learning” was held at the Wingspread conference facility in Racine, Wisconsin. Five plenary papers were presented offering very diverse perspectives related to the integration of science and mathematics education.
