A compound released by females ofPlodia interpunctella(Hübner) inhibits the responses of maleCadra cautella(Walker) to the sex pheromone (Z,E)-9,12-tetradecadien-1-ol acetate. The material was isolated and identified as (Z,E)-9,12-tetradecadien-1-ol.
