In this paper I review some significant results obtained with the wide field instruments (2 Wide Field Cameras and a Gamma Ray Burst Monitor) aboard theBeppoSAXsatellite, and their implications for the current models concerning GRB progentors and their environments. © 2004 American Institute of Physics
