AbstractThe advantage of the new human visual system model consists in its ability to take visual system properties into account more accurately. Because of this, it guarantees close agreement between subjective image impairment assessment on the one hand, and estimations obtained by this model on the other. This fact gives good grounds to exclude the human observer of the iteration process of parameters optimization for television equipment to be developed.
