Stempellinella reissisp. n. is described from the male imago and pupa. The imago has bare eyes, lacks pulvilli and scutal tubercle; anal point with longitudinal crest and spinules, and short gonostylus; all characteristic of the genusStempellinella.The species shows important similarities to the African speciesStempellina truncataFreeman 1957 in the hypopygium, and is notably different from the other European species of the genus.
