AbstractAs the assessment of patient satisfaction becomes increasingly important for pastoral care departments, the need arises for a trusted instrument and a normative data base. This article reports the construction of a patient satisfaction questionnaire designed for pastoral care departments and the results from its use with 165 patients. The instrument appears to merit additional testing. We invite pastoral care departments to join with us in further refining and using this instrument and in developing a normative data base.
