Clomiphene treatment of 160 women infertile because of anovulation enabled the determination of comparative multiple-pregnancy rates. The group included 29 women with polycystic ovaries. There was a significantly greater number of multiple gestations among those with polycystic disease. This association was significant at the 0.05 confidence level.
