It is difficult for those outside of the “marketing” arena to recognize the importance and sometimes the necessity of marketing one's services. More often than not, it is a lack of knowledge that leads to this lack of understanding. However, marketing is essential to the successful administration of I.V. therapy and to the growth and development of I.V. nursing as a profession.
