The clinical signs, the radiographic appearance, and the treatment of two cases of fracture of the accessory carpal bone are described. The fractures were in the vertical plane. Surgical intervention consisted out of fixation of the fracture with two lag screws. Follow‐up information revealed that one horse became sound and returned to complete athletic activity whereas the other horse remained lame.
