摘要:

Ergot of maize is one of the more recently described diseases of that crop (Fuenteset al.1964). There are some references to maize ergot in host indices and in other earlier writings, but these are not supported by any original research on the disease or description of symptoms. This paper describes the pathogen, its symptoms and area of infection.
