ABSTRACTAn enamel composition to which any workable enamel of this type must quite closely conform is given. Eighty‐six per cent of the enamel composition must be held within definite proportions. The function of each of these constituents and the percentage required are discussed. The remaining 14% of the enamel may be supplied by combinations of BaO, PbO, and ZnO, with some latitude in proportions permissible.
