摘要:

Composite materials, particularly E-Glass in the form of “Chop Strand Mat” in a polyester resin arc widely used for the fabrication of pressure vessels and pipework in the Petrochemical Industry. This paper presents details of a potential Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) method for the in-service assessment of components manufactured from this type of composite. The method uses ultra-sonic techniques.
