摘要:
The processing of photographic images results in the discharge of I thousands of pounds of chemicals and millions of gallons of water each day in the U.S. alone. With ever increasing environmental regulations and the rising cost of chemicals, the photoprocessing industry has turned to ozone for chemical recovery and pollution control. While the recovery of silver from photographic solutions or effluents by ozonation has been studied, recycle of ferricyanide bleach is the major use of ozone today. In addition, ozone is being used for chemical destruction of processing solutions where reuse has not been practical.
