Wife assault is often a hidden, shameful experience in the lives of many women. Only recently has this tragedy in family life come to the attention of the general public through the media. Here are examples of interpolated case histories, and solutions to some of the problems facing health professionals working with victims of domestic violence. Health professionals are encouraged to become involved with the victim of battering, and to conduct research into this critical dysfunction of family life.
