Every July, a unique gathering takes place at the London home of the Institution of Electrical Engineers—Savoy Place behind the Savoy Hotel on the Strand. Some 300 young scientists from 55 countries took part in 1993, including, the first time, delegates from Croatia, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Ethiopia.
