摘要:
The complement system has been underestimated. In addition to its role in defense against infection, it protects against immune complex diseases. Paradoxically, however, it can contribute to the development of IC disease, particularly in lupus. Recent studies suggest the usually protective system is subverted when certain complement components or receptors are deficient.
