摘要:

Ozone application at low level seems to be a good treatment to control bulking. The best treatment can be 0.5 to 1 mg O3/g TVM.h (total volatile matter hour); φR= 30 min. The injection of the ozone is into the recirculation sludge pipe. It is possible to improve the settling and obtain good reduction of the dissolved organic matter. The mechanisms of ozone's action on the sludge is approached by the determination of byproducts: amino acids, sugars, phosphorus compounds.
