If, after several years as an intensive care unit staff nurse, you want to grow in your nursing career, how can you expand in clinical excellence? If, as a nurse manager or educator, you want to help the experienced staff nurse to develop, how can you assist in career development? In this article, the authors describe a possible expanded clinical role for the experienced critical care nurse.
