Diffraction of surface waves at a discontinuity of a surface impedance under oblique incidence is analyzed by means of singular integral equations. A closed form for the reflection coefficient is derived. The phenomena of nonradiation and total reflection of the surface wave are discussed. The results are used for the analysis of guided modes on a strip surface waveguide.
