Women entered male-advantaged medicine by acquiring skills traditionally believed to be masculine strengths (such as mathematics, chemistry, and analytical skills); by the same token, men may be able to adapt to the current female-advantaged environment by acquiring some traditionally female skills such as good communication and empathy.
