摘要:

Military Standard 105D has a provision for discontinuing inspection and stopping shipment of a product when evidence of poor quality is very strong. Discontinuation is not always feasible for critical products. In this paper, four rules are given for continued inspection of product during the discontinue phase of MIL-STD-105D. The rules allow up to ten more lots to be inspected using tightened sampling plans. Five criteria are associated with the four rules. An investigation of these criteria shows that the probability of satisfying them is large when the product has an historical quality equal to the AQL value and small when the historical quality is 2•AQL or worse. It is recommended that these rules be incorporated into the next revision of MIL-STD-105D.
