摘要:

Periodate oxidizes 2-HBGH to a red colored compound in ammonia medium. The reagent is not oxidized by H2O2, IO3−, BrO3−, S2O8=, S2O5=, ClO4−, ClO3−under these conditions. Based on the above properties a method is described for the spectrophotometric determination of periodate.
