Paul A. MaggardPaul A. Maggard obtained his Ph.D. from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa in 2000. Subsequently, he took a postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, working with K. R. Poeppelmeier (2000–2002). He is currently an Assistant Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina. His major research emphasis is on the synthesis and characterization of novel transition metal oxides and transition metal silicides. He is the recipient of the 2004 Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation Young Investigator Award.
