In aroma-extracts of wines from various sorts and vintages 3-(methylthio)-propionic acid ethyl ester, acetic acid-3-(methylthio)-propyl ester, 3-(methylthio)-1-propanol and 3-(ethylthio)-1-propanol were gaschromatographically separated and determined by means of an attached flame photometric detector (FPD).
