摘要:

This book is a collection of seventeen recent papers published in the Soviet journal Applied Geophysics. These papers were selected by the editor to illustrate the activities and achievements of Russian geophysicists concerned with oil and mineral exploration. The book is divided into four sections: seismology; gravimetry; electrical prospecting; and ‘oil geophysics,’ which is primarily concerned with borehole techniques such as logging and inhole photography. Each section covers approximately the same number of pages. Individual articles are rather specialized, each being concerned with a single topic on which its author or authors have done research. There is no effort to cover any aspect of geophysics as thoroughly as would be expected in a textbook.
