SYNOPSISTwenty migraine patients were treated with a Biofeedback technique termed “Autogenic Feedback Training.” This involved offering patients a method by which they could raise their hand temperature using Autogenic Phrases combined with temperature feedback via an electronic thermometer. Headache duration, frequency, intensity and medication need were evaluated. Half the patients were evaluated six months after the end of treatment. The treatment period was compared with the prior six months. Patients with uncomplicated migraine were successful and those with mixed migraine and tension headaches were not.
