A detailed diagnosis ofPhilotelmais provided, and its phylogenetic position within Scatellini is discussed. A new species,Philolelma tamaranifrom Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) is described.Caenia parvaKramer, 1917 is combined withPhilotelma.
