Objectives This series of meetings intends to focus on the state-of-the-art and pro- gress of solid sampling with atomic spectroscopic methods. It consists of papers and posters with discussion time for topics of particular impor- tance. Topics covered will include AAS ICP-MS GDMS etc. with solid sampling; theory and instrumentation; methodology and procedures; biologi- cal and medical applications; food applications; environmental applica- tions; product and quality control; and preparation and use of certified refer- ence materials. The official conference language will be English and no translation will be provided. Call for papers and posters Contributed papers and posters re- lated to the scope of the Colloquium are invited. These contributions are supposed to describe results of re- search not yet published.Two-page abstracts should be submitted on stan- dard-sized sheets of paper (DIN A4). The line spacing should be 1; and a full margin of 2.5 cm all around is502 JOURNAL OF ANALYTICAL ATOMIC SPECTROMETRY OCTOBER 199 1 VOL. 6 required.
