A new species ofAustrocercella, A.columbaesp.n., from Tasmania is described. The females of the ten Tasmanian species of theAphanicercagroup of the Notonemouridae are comparatively described as are the nymphs of seven species. Brief descriptions of three nymphs that may represent the remaining species are included. Females of five of the six mainland species of theAphanicercagroup are comparatively described, and suggestions are made as to the probable characteristics of the sixth of which only males are known.
